That is one scarey looking tank and well done the Company for sending you a new one. Why did you put the kit into hot water in the first place? A good tip...take a length of sprue from the set / kit and try that first. No real guarantee that the smaller / thinner parts won´t warp anyway, so just use luke warm soapy water.
Good news that it worked out. I'm sure they are doing as much as possible to build their reputation. Nice pictures too, I hadn't seen the first one. By the way, S&S is working on a T-90MS now, I'm looking forward to the variety.
Excellent news! The pictures from the last post were quite shocking, it looked like you had poured boiling water on them. You might want to double check your hot water heater settings, many homes have them set way too high. But it seems like if you can stick your hand in it that it shouldn't warp or melt the model. Very weird.
thanks though I don't know how lucky I am, a replacement for free makes me really lucky but the initial problem not so much... but I guess this is the best result possible in this situation so I am really lucky in the end.
Well, I've heard of worse. The son of a chap I know once left a box full of toys on a sun-drenched window sill. Cooked the lot beyond any kind of redemption. He never said where he hid the body.
thanks I guess you can only learn from mistakes once you've made them, or seen someone else make them. well I still have the ruins of the Kit. perhaps I can make the ruins of a tank.
'Bright-eyes' the Tank. It's that orange stare that will get you, every time...
ReplyDeleteyes... I am quite sure the Russians have found a way to make living machines, well this one looks like it.
