Revell LKW 7t. mil gl (6x6 Truck)

its a large name, for a large vehicle. This kit was sent to me by Michael in return for some fine WW2 models. There is also a Leopard 2 A6 waiting to be put together, my favourite tank. this is a great addition to the vehicle fleet. and really useful also, this truck can be used by the Oronegrean army, the rebels or as the licence plates suggest the UN Germans stationed in Oronegro. I added my own crew, conversions of some old Esci nato ground crew. they are pretty generic. one is listening to his headphones or has ear muffs on, either one. The trucks camouflage was done by hand it was made harder by the fact I am colour blind. The green I thought was the same as that on the box was totally different. oh well. really useful for games also and scenarios. anyway here it is.

this is my best attempt at doing camouflage and a different base.

I never knew Richard Hammond was a member of the German army????

there was some problems with getting the parts to fit together, mainly because the glue destroyed the pegs which secure the joints

very, very dusty

not the best base colour wise but it was hard to think what would be right.

the "man hole cover" is left un-camouflaged, this is just a preference thing really, makes it look separate to the cab... of course it might be painted also.
well there we go. I am pretty tired right now, still stuff to do before I can sleep. I hope your all having a good time wherever you are and whatever time it is.  and I have a new follower :-D Greetings to fogsoldiers from fogs soldiers welcome to the blog.

And may I also take a moment to Remember the soldiers of the Australian, New Zealand Army Corps, the ANZAC's let us never forget their sacrifice! As a person from Britain it seems even more special as in the first world war and to some extent in the second these brave men did not fight for the freedom of their nation but rather for that of the mother country, for Britain. This sacrifice must never be forgotten not by the people of Australia and New Zealand alone but by those in Europe, Africa and Asia whose freedom was won by these brave lads from far away lands.

lest we forget.

Challenger 2, another stealth tank

Just when you thought it was safe to go out on the road, another tank is rolling down the tarmac bring with it a car crushing weight and an accurate, deadly gun. it is highly advised that you remain indoors and get all vehicles off the road, unless your car insurance policy covers damage caused by tanks!
if you have forgotten the last stealth Challenger 2 here is a link to the post anyway these 2 tanks are very similar, the only difference is the amount of armour on the tank.
All the following pics are taken inside the new bookcase... as you can see we need to put the books in it.

If you find yourself looking up at these tanks like this.... this is probably the last thing you will see.

one has extra armour one has a flag.... I still think the armour is a better add on to the tank.

the tanks driving away!

this is a rather faded Oronegrean flag.

in formation

not much dirt but this is mostly for urban warfare

a propaganda photo... who can stand up to the national forces when they have these?
Well, well, well there we are my friends this tank may have arrived to late for tank week but she is here now and I hope you enjoy her company. I have been busy recently, being stuck at home with illness is not fun but painting models stops me stressing about what I am missing at school. So due to that I have got a few figs done. I have got some divers done, who all sport an interesting , unique but above all experimental camouflage. I have literally just finished another fig, but I may still alter him, and a mounted man with a sub machine gun is also ready to show so plenty to present. I just have to figure out how to post it all.

have a great day guys! Now all I need to focus on is that T-90A soon the baddies will have a powerful tank to use (and as this is Oronegro, and the tank probably was made in Oronegro... it may be a match for these brutes).

BM-24-12 in South american civil war

OK well it took me basically 2 days to do this little beauty. the terrorists of south America will be pleased at their latest piece of kit.... the BM-24-12 Multiple Launch Rocket System. this one is made by ICM... the instructions while clear were crap... the wheels I put on twice. but they broke and now do not turn :-( the main problem is that the instruction includes "?" for putting pieces in place.... How am I to know if that is supposed to go there? turns out that it means they are not sure that it is the right time to put it there... which meant I had to tear apart the chassis just so the body could go on. But anyway I made it, and overall the instructions helped me along the way, I would recommend that you get this model put before you put it together, you must see if that the order is correct or you'll mess up like I did...
the army of the nation is coming under fire... rockets are being launched at tanks and heavy 50cal machine guns halt advancing troops

but all is not good for the rebels... Their leader the Anglo-Colombian Bean Castrae Ted calls for reinforcements

the sun sets on the battlefield but the war goes on

so lets take a look at the BM-24-12 shall we

as you can see it is rather dirty. probably because it got lost in the amazon

hydraulic jacks and rocket engines this end is quite imposing

from the other side it is clear that this truck is in need of more than just a normal car wash

look a spade and a warning sign. why it needs either of those I am not sure

I cannot quite read the number plate but I doubt that this vehicle has been speeding

another warning sign and an extinguisher? what could this truck possibly be up to? it is not like their is any fire involved in rocket engines now is there :-P

  • police-"what is the number plate of the vehicle sir"
  • caller- "32-71-RK. he is doing at least 100 km/h and is swerving all over the road"
maybe I was wrong about it speeding

a dark night descends upon the city as the darkness grows so does anarchy spread across the land.
so there you go the first kit-set I have ever completed... I am still making my first one with my friend we are painting a spitfire :-D

hope you like it
